Partner

Michael Fasulo was born in Corinth, New York. As a child of an Army officer, he travelled the world, living in West Germany, Turkey and throughout the United States. Growing up in many different environments was Michael’s first exposure to architectural education. This broadened his appreciation for the impact of architecture and design on communities.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Kansas State University College of Architecture, Planning and Design and is a LEED accredited professional. He has practiced architecture in Bennington, Vermont and in New York City building several practices as an employee with Rodman “Tad” Paul (with Tarek Ashkar, 1999-’03, and with Doug Larson, 2003-’17). In 2017, Michael and Tad entered a new partnership focused on distinctive dwellings in New York City and its environs.

Applying an inquiry-based approach, Michael collaborates closely with clients, builders, and artisans to realize his designs. He deeply enjoys the careful research needed to develop a keen understanding of his clients’ needs. This process builds trust and partnership, always revealing satisfying and unexpected design opportunities that clarify a joint vision between Michael and his client. Michael finds inspiration in these partnerships, and in his experiences as a photographer, parent, painter, and banjo player.
